Text and Narrative Workshop

In the workshop, we had to think of random words that came to our minds in that particular moment.

These are some of the words I thought of:

  • You’re a six.
  • I’m a ten.
  • I don’t want to be here.
  • biscuits.
  • Chocolate.
  • I don’t know what I writing about,
  • Just random words I’m thinking about.
  • Is this over yet.
  • A really long three minutes.
  • I feel like I’m being stared at.

By doing this we could easily come up with a story with these words, which led on to the next task. The next task we were faced with the task of using the words: design, writing, journey, text and story.

This is an example of what I came up with in three minutes.

Take a journey through the text in this book to be transported. Look at the story of design and how you can combine text and style to create something that is beyond belief.

The subtext, Intertext and Narrative.

We looked at how you the reader should be able to read between the lines, so, therefore, the audience can gain a different perspective for themselves.

Intertext

We looked at making a horror story with less than ten words, without using the, there, where etc.

‘Man opened front door, to be greeted by himself.’
